    Hello from Raleigh, NC

    Hey all,

My name is Bill. As for my "handle"... some friends in the Army used to call me "Scopin' Bill" because I was always scopin' out the situation. I've been lurking on the forum for a few years, and finally decided to jump in and say hi!

    My current setup...

    - Blackbird 1.1 double layer (in black - which seems rare)
    - Superfly in Silnylon
    - Winter Yeti under quilt
    - Winter Mamba top quilt (long/wide)

I bought everything a couple years ago with the intention of hanging a few times a year, but then life happened. I did have a test overnight hang in the backyard last year. Got down to about 20 degrees and I was nice and toasty so I know the setup works.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.

    Bill

Durham... now that's a bit closer! My oldest daughter is going to UNC in Chapel Hill, and we head past Durham every other week for the football game. UNC vs Duke is coming up!

Welcome from Clayton. A lot of hangers in the Raleigh Area.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
