My question is pointed more toward the weight the hammock supports. At 260 I'm over the stated weight limit of the RR. It was mentioned before there may be a set of heavy duty spreader bars. If that and the fabric chosen would work then I guess I would be all set.

Another option is to stop eating so many beer nuts.

I believe Brandon sells extra strong spreader bars for the rr-----with that mod, it should hold your weight just fine! (and it really is the sweetist hang out there!)
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Brandon said the stronger bars are sold automatically with the double layer and the smaller bars are sold with the single layer. With that said I have a lot of time in diy bridge hammocks as well and used the .625 (Brandon's smaller bars) with a shorter suspension triangle and no problem. The OP will be fine in the WBRR

Here's another thread on the topic.

Like I mentioned in that thread as well -

Granted that's static load not dynamic and who knows what the hang angles were etc. etc. etc.

I know there are 300+lb folks hanging from Dynaglide whoopie slings and folks that won't hang on anything with a diameter smaller than 1/8 Amsteel.

I'd say go for it. I did and couldn't be happier

    Beernuts,

I'm 6'-0" and 250 lbs and I got the DL multicam since the multicam is a little heavier (and stronger) fabric than the 1.1 oz. used on the normal DL. All DL now come standard with the larger diameter head spreader bar. I love my RR since I am a side sleeper and find it much more comfortable than my ENO DN. I'm a wide body model and the RR is a little narrow but it still works for me. Brandon said the weight limit was set more due to the width of the hammock than the strength of the fabric and I would be fine with the normal DL. He was right, he knows his stuff.
