Currently using prussic knots tied to the eyes on my Superfly then guy to a loop for the peg to attach to.
I've just acquired an Edge and wanted to know if theres any better way of guying out a tarp with Zing it?

I was doing exactly the same as you are doing, and it worked great. Then I saw this thread, changed over, and I won't be going back. It works great.

You don't have to read the whole thread to get the idea...
"...With saddle and pack, by paddle and track, let's go to the land of beyond."
It's very similar to what you already have but replace the prusik with a ucr. They don't bind up as much as prusiks and hold really well...and still adjustable from under the tarp.
Good luck,

Try a taut line hitch, it is easier to adjust and won't bind like a prussik can.

I rekon I am a boring fella.. I tie loops on my guys, two - three each for the distance I want, I have very seldom or ever had tarp slack be an issue for me, but I start drum tight.. Put the stake in the chosen loop and pull tight set the stake..
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
I have the same set up on my Superfly. Works well but the prusik can bind up a little. On my summer tarp I tried something else. I tied the line to the D rings using a Blake hitch and used a Marlin Spike hitch for the tent peg.
I start every set up with the Blake hitch close to the tarp. I determine the length I want the guyline to be and make a MSH stake the line to the ground. I then go the Blake hitch to tighten the line and make the tarp taut. The Blake hitches only need to be tied once and the line left on the D-rings. I found it work well but I'm not fussy and like fiddling with knots.

Liking the mini lineloks idea.
I use the mini line-loks and love it, but I learned the hard way that it is important to tie a slippery half-hitch behind the line-loks, because in a heavy wind, they WILL slip. Ruined two of my line-loks, but luckily I ordered spares. I have been toying with the idea of even making some small whoopies out of zing-it for my guys, but that just sounds like too much work, weight, and extra line.
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!
I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.
It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
