Ya, using the pull outs can really give you some nice room in there. It works very well on my tadpole also. Nice looking set up.

Yeah it opens the sides up a lot more than tying the sides out no matter how hard I pull the line

That is good to know. It lets folks know that these pole mods can work on pretty much all tarps with the pull outs

    Question: Pole Mod Owners

For those of you that own and have used the mod, I'm curious if the poles make it more difficult to pitch right next to the ground for harsh weather conditions. They obviously give you a great deal of more room, especially in the case of the bridge hammocks, but does that extra width come at a cost?

    Just curious, thanks!

I haven't pitched it that way yet so I can't give you an answer. Hopefully someone who has will respond

I got to use mine at 501 this past weekend and my tarp was probably about 6 to 10 inches higher than I would have liked it. Especially with the wind on top of the ridge. I could have lowered everything a little more but I was hunched down a good bit already. If needed for extremes I could drop it to the ground and still function inside. Just not as comfortably. I'm 5' 10" for refrence.
