    Ol Man Winter

Just back from float of Eleven Point river in Missouri. First time put tarp to a severe rain event. Wow....high and dry ! Hammock...dry. Quilts....dry. Me....dry. Everything under the tarp (chair, stove, small table etc) dry....Outside pole mod...velco doors.....semi porch mode....FANTASTIC !

Love that river, beautiful paddle. Glad the tarp performed so well. My wife has one, she loves it.

The OMW is an awesome tarp! Big enough to cover everything in any weather, and small enough to use all the time.

BINGO! OMW is quite versatile and is my primary tarp.

I was looking at this tarp as well as right now I am just using the 12x9.6 chinook with an ENO DN and when I fold in the ends as doors it is just enough (my setup might not be as spot on as all of yours either as Im a noob)

I have a lite owl on order and I'm thinking I may have to invest in an OMW this fall as the LO is a foot and a half longer then the Eno.

I will try out the Chinook with the LO but after dealing with Marty and hearing all the great things about WL Im sure ill end up getting one…as long as the wife doesn't divorce me lol

My son has an Old Man Winter and I have a SuperFly. Toss up if you ask me. Both are great tarps.

Are they both the same size and coverage? And do they both compress down to the same size?

It seems like the Old Man is bigger. It does have two more tie outs on the bottom sides if I recall correctly. The SuperfLy packs smaller. I'll try to get some photos later.
