    Pole Mod for the Bullfrog

After seeing quite a few pole mods for tarps at the MAHHA I decided I wanted one. I saw where Wilderness Logics had one but it said it was for the Old Man Winter and the Big Daddy tarps. I emailed Marty and asked if it would work on the Bullfrog and he said yes so I ordered a set.

The pics below show the tarp without the pole mod and how much space I have on the inside with my bridge hammock.

The next set of pics show the quick release clips and the tarp with the pole mod. I also have some pics of the bridge hammock showing how much extra room I have. The sun was shining so the pics may not turn out as well as I had hoped for

After I did that I hung up Hamhockers Mamajamba to see how well the pole mods would work on her tarp. She has a JRB bridge hammock which is a little smaller than mine. It worked great and I ordered her a set of pole mods. She liked all of the extra room on each side of the hammock. The pole mod is an easy setup. They weigh 5 ounces but I get to drop the 4 guy lines and 2 extra stakes I carried for when I needed them. These pics are better since the sun wasn't shining as bright

I know it is hard to tell in those pictures but it really does open it up.

I have the OMW and love the outside pole mods. makes a great difference. I have even used the clips, attached them to the outside corners of the fly and used some tent poles to make it more a "barrel" look. was even bigger. thanks to Hikingdad for that idea.

Re: Pole Mod for the Bullfrog

Nice pics Ewker! I was thinking the same thing after MAHHA. "I NEED a pole mod for my tarps." I odered the parts off Quest and got to work. I think it opens it up even more than just tieing out the side pulls.
