I was searching the web after wondering how many hammocks were hung in one place and thought that I would find at least one record attempt on the Guinness World Records website. It appeared that no attempt has been made, or at least one that was recorded. I found one record attempt though on another web site. 125 people laid on their hammocks on Santa Monica Pier and relaxed near the ocean. This looks like nothing more than a marketing gimmick though. Info was found on recordsetter.com
So the question begs to be asked. Why is there no Guinness World record for this?? And, how many HF members would be willing at taking a crack at setting a record attempt with Guinness for the most hammocks hung in one location? I know I'd consider it depending on the location from home and would think we could surpass the 125 they claim is the record!
