I bought some reflective guy line from DIY gear supply a few years ago--it has reflective strips woven into the line. It worked great for a couple of years-really bright. I did notice that with time, where it goes thru the line locs, the reflective part wore off .
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

You can get 50 1.5 inch glow sticks for less than $10 on amazon. Attach one to the guy wire with on of the tiny rubber bands the kids are weaving bracelets from and they will stay lightly lit all night

I've seen reflective paracord at Home Depot, and the Nite Eyze stuff at Dicks. Amazon has 50 feet for 10 bucks. The green nite eyze cord is a little thinner than paracord. I thought of making bear bag line from it, but it feels like it might cut into my hands.

Hit some Kelty Triptease with a flashlight. You can see it from space.

I don't seem to have any night pics, but I've been using the bike spoke reflectors on zing-it with the glow in the dark clam locks. It's the best system I've used so far. The reflective lines I used in the past had nylon which gave me problems with tangle, stretch and water issues. The only problem I've had with the reflectors is that they like to fall off, I think the 1.75mm cord is a little smaller than what they're designed for. I should probably wrap a piece of tape around them to keep them on. They reflect extremely well and the glow in the dark locks help if you're walking around without a light.

I got a pack of this stuff:

    http://www.rei.com/product/782824/bl...ckage-of-50-ft

works very well. Holds taut line hitch knots excellently for a nice tight tarp pitch.

Hell I live close to a Meijer, just gotta remember to look, thanks.
The stuff from Meijer is the same size as 550 cord. You can take out the core fibers to make it a little smaller.

Just a note - if you haven't used this kind of cord before - in using the Kelty, MSR and Nite-ese line, I found you have to be viewing it at the correct angle. That's a feature and a bug. It's bug in that it can be just as dark as ordinary line with ambient star light when walking back without a flashlight and it's a feature in that it doesn't light up the whole campground just because you have it strung out.

To be sure, a tarp, viewed from the side, with four or five guy lines, including those holding the ridge line supports, is a sight to behold. And the good news is, you don't keep your camp mates up with that glowing wonder you see before you. Even if you have a flashlight beam on the line, unless you are at viewing at the required angle - right down the beam, you still have your stealth.
