Yep, I used the powder paint. I wish I would have had the glow in the dark paint. I heated them on a cookie sheet, then dropped them into the bottom of a cat food can filled about 1/2" with the powder paint. After they were coated with powder, I threaded them on a wire rack (made from a uncoated wire coat hanger,) and baked them in the oven for 20 minutes at 350* to harden.
Picking them up was the tricky part. I just used a simple needle nose pliers to transfer them from the cookie sheet to the paint "can", then to pick them out of the can and thread on the wire.
Would you consider that fairly easy to use? The toughest part was not getting the powder paint all over the kitchen, because I am known to be a little clumsy. That, and threading the clips on the coat hanger, because the diameter of the coat hanger was too wide to slip through the gap in the clip.
How much weight does that paint add?
"It weighs nothing"
Sorry, I just had to.
By the way, those clips look pretty awesome. Hopefully they will not become collector's items and there will be another run!
