    Wanted Ultralight alcohol stove

Hi folks; I'm looking for a crazy light alcohol stove that will boil two cups of water using 3/4 of an ounce of alcohol. I'd like it to be the kind where the pot sits directly on the stove, no pot stand.

There was a gentleman on this forum who made some stoves for me in the past; he made one that fits this criteria and it's the best stove I've ever had. Unfortunately I don't remember his name. I still use that stove but's got a few dents and I'd like to get another one as a back up.

It was a smaller can and very very thin aluminum. I'll try to post some pics of the one I have.

Someday I'd like to learn how to make this particular stove myself. The only one I like better than this is one I make myself out of mini-WD40 cans.

So if you can make something this light that performs, please PM me and we'll go from there...

    Thanks
    Gideon

PM Swankfly on here. He made mine. It fits all of your requirements, except possibly boiling two cups on 3/4 oz of fuel... I've heard people say theirs does, but for me it's closer to a full ounce for a reliable result. I use a Foster's pot so maybe a wider pot would be better.

    Re: Wanted Ultralight alcohol stove

This type of stove is the best I've used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Kx...e_gdata_player It definitely meets the ul criteria (5g) I made mine with a mini dr pepper can, and it will easily boil 500ml water in about 6 mins with around 3/4 oz. It was VERY easy to make... there was a couple threads on it a few months back but I can't find them now.

I've made about 15 of these stoves.

My MBD Elite now stays home. I'm very impressed with the performance of this stove.

The DIY route is fun and rewarding. The stove SilvrSurfr posted is awesome. If you don't want to make your own I'd recommend stoves by Zelph or Mini Bull Designs.
