So are we not wanting to put the boys to work chopping firewood again?

I'll be on my car, so I can't help with bringing wood, but more than glad to chip in. I got me a sluice lined up from a guy at work so it will be interesting if I can find anything. I got a 10x10 fold up gazebo with a wind curtain if needed. Makes a good place to cook in.

this guy, making it sound like he didn't have fun processing firewood. I'm pretty sure I saw more than one grin on your face in between the grunts of sawing and spitting with a pair of roofing hatchets.
I'll bring better tools next time, I hadn't planned on clearing a downed tree.

Firebird. With the pickup truck. I couldnt remember before. I will see if he is watching this thread, if not I will send him a pm. I will see how much for how much wood he can deliver for us.
Grubartez are u going to head up the panning? I would think weather permitting we could hike to a good spot and given it a go. What would we need, what locations should we go to? I already know I am spending my gold money hammock gear.
I like the idea of a group breakfast - then we're free to go off and hike or whatever until . . .
Really looking forward to the hang.

With that in mind, do we want to say 'breakfast' or 'brunch'?
I'll have my axe in hand if I can make it.
I've heard a rumor some of the stores in Cary sell livermush.........
I have never done any prospecting at Uwharrie but I think it's going to be fun to do. I have one pan and a bazooka gold trap that my kids use up in the creek in the mountains. I will see about another pan and a small portable/packable sluice from a guy at work, shouldn't be a problem to borrow. The only other things I'm taking are some rubber boots, a small hand trowel, cook kit and food for lunch. I have never found any gold at our place in the mountains (wrong geographical area) but the kids don't know that and really get a kick out of it. I have however seen all the episodes of Gold Rush and Bering Sea Gold.... LOL. It should be fun even if we don't find anything. I'm trying to get in touch with a guy from Statesville who goes to Uwharrie once a month to look for gold and see if he may be interested going that weekend. We shall see if he comes or not. Looking forward to a great time.
