Generally the hardware used to connect the spreader bars to the hammock can act like a drip line... I've never needed one with a bridge hammock, and I've been in some very heavy downpours. Using a Fronkey style net on a bridge hammock sounds like it'd work, but I've sewn and tried, but it doesn't. Shug's bugnet is a decent idea, but I still much prefer the zippered one I show how to make in next video of the series.

This is exactly the setup I use on my bridge. Works awesome. I also use trekking poles. I just open up the loops and insert poles. Works great.

This is a great tutorial and end product. I've just finished my second hammock body following your instructions. They are super easy and very comfortable. I have a question about the bug net...do you find you have to alter it a bit to fit or are your patterns dialed in such that the net and hammock body are a perfect fit? That said, I shortened the overall length of the hammock and net patterns 3 inches, but left all other measurements the same. Will this throw things off?
The net should not have to be modified unless your rolled hems are too small/big... and even then the netting is somewhat stretchy so unless you make the hems dramatically bigger it shouldn't be a problem anyways. As long as you changed the net pattern to reflect the changes you made in the hammock, there should be no problems.
So HD... Do you have any photos showing how to attach the under quilt to the Bridge.

no photos right now... if you're using the dutch hardware then it's so simple. You simply run a line of shock cord from each corner of the quilt and pull it to the desired tension and lock it in the "cleat" of the hardware. I found that I hardly need any for the head end (just a couple inches...which is only to allow me to vent if needed) and then on the foot end the shock cord is maybe 1.5 feet if that... again allowing me to vent nicely if I need/want to.
