That is a great video series, perfect for me as i have never made a bridge
I know how much work is involved on filming it so thanks for all the hard work.
End result looks awesome

Hey, I have gone back and forth between the DIY and the WBRR. Both are great hammocks. The WBRR is really made well and is a nice hammock. I've actually been thinking of making another bridge and switching back. The pockets on mine were a bit tight (should have made the outer edge a smidge longer than the inside edge), so I think I'll redo that, but the shape of my pockets I liked more. I also like the width of mine better as it is wider than the WBRR (one of the reasons I made it). I do like the end caps better in the WBRR and that is my preferred end cap, the thing is that they are a PITA to make, so thats why I made the end cap style I did. I will say that I also much much prefer the bridge hardware that I developed with Dutch over the ends that come with the WBRR.

Would a lynx/ridgerunner size quilt be compatible with this design?
yes - in my experience they fit.

My video on the DIY bridge quilt for this hammock fits the WBRR too. The biggest difference is that the width of my hammock is a little wider, so the lynx likely wont cover all the way to the edge, but then again, neither does your body.

Thanks for the reply; good to know I’ll be able to use the gear I already have.
Hello there. I pretty much want to built such a simpole hammock myself. I don't even want the ends to be closed up, as I want to use the hammock as a bed indoors.
I intend to use a rather heavy 70den Ripstop Nylon @ 2 Oz / sq-yard, to make it as rigid and stiff as possible.
I'm interested, how flat your hammock actually is and if it's good for sleeping on your side or your stomach. Or how much does it sag? It wasn't really shown in the video by the lady lying in the hammock at the end.
I'm 5'10" and weigh 170 lbs if that helps to answer my question.
Allways remember, that the world is an orange.
I have an open ended bridge made from 1.9 rs nylon. Hung properly it flattens out nicely. However even at 1.9, the RS nylon sags more than I would like. This is only noticed when sitting or putting pressure in one spot. Once you lay out it's fine.
BTW I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs.
