Tarp help with whoopie slings

Just added CRLs to both my tarps, one above and one below. All testing thus far shows both to be very effective, neither seems easier to set up/take down than the other, and neither seem to put any noticeable excess stress on the tarps. From my limited experience, I say pick whichever works for you and run with it. I did have a few crafty veterans here tell me that if the ridge seam of the tarp has catenary cuts, go above.

If you do run the crl under the tarp be sure and put a drip line on both ends (under the tarp).

I had some 3mm accessory cord laying around the house. I made two small prussiks and put them on the original suspension line. This allowed my 12 year old to easily set up his hammock instead of fighting with knots to the straps. A couple of biners and he is good to go.

I forgot I made this one too. This uses the line loks. They are pretty nice and make things easy. Dutch flys also make things easy.

i went to whoopies on my hh expedition, never looked back. i also went to the larger hh tarp, better coverage, doubles as a cooking and weather shelter. the larger tarp has great tie-outs and strings up tight. oh, i have had luck with the old tarp suspension on a whoopie, just wrap it a few more times.

When I dumped the Hennessy suspension for whoopies, I also stopped attaching the tarp to the suspension - never liked the sagging. I went to a Zing-It continuous ridgeline for the tarp with Dutch Hook and a Tarp Flyz.

The above is how I solved my problem with HH. I could not get his knots undone when the weather was crummy. Plus the above works quicker and easier for me.

I put the cr either over or under depending on the weather and how things look at the particular site I am using. Over or under is just another choice that varies by the individual conditions.

Now you know why I think removing the stock suspension is stupid. Much better to terminate the lines in drip rings and use whatever you want form there.

Well, I am 72 years old and I do believe that is the first time I have been called stupid.

Well I order some zingit and two Dutch hooks. I think I will just attach a prusik knot at the tarp ends like Caveman did in his video. Seems like the easiest and lightest way to go.
Question: Will 1.75 zingit hold onto itself well as a prusik knot?

I saved my prussiks and clips when I switched over to whoopies.
