New to HF and to hammocks generally. Didnt know so much could go int a hammock. Anyway been think about a DIY project but I dont really know where to start other than ripstop nylon. Im 6'3" and weigh about 240. Can i get some guidance on what to do next? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the site. Any question that you can toss out, there will be several people to give their 2 cents. I believe others about your size have make DIY hammocks out of table cloths. Run through the DIY section and search out the thread(s). It will be a quick way to get hanging.
