    Not one for camo, buuuut

I was at work today and noticed bass pro has some fleece throws on sale for 12.99. Employees get them for 11 and change, so I thought, what the heck, might as well. It is 50x60, and weighs in at 416g, or ~14.67oz. I figure I can probably use it as a summer top here in SoCal and maybe supplement it with a light jacket if I really need to. Maybe even sew one end into a footbox to truly make it a TQ and not just a blanket... a little short for me, but in a hot summer I may like that.

I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

    Ask, and you shall receive!

Here it is folded up; it is a RealTree pattern, so at least it's not a totally cliche camo...

And unfolded a little bit to show more of the pattern. It is really soft, and perfect warmth for warmer conditions, or maybe even as supplemental insulation for a TQ or sleeping bag.

The only thing I am a little iffy about is the cheap, cheesy stitching along the edges. It doesn't seem very sturdy to me, but only time will tell. 100% polyester.

Looks a little cheap but the pattern is better than normal camo.

Definitely cheap, but if it can hold up for a while, it was 11 bucks well-spent

I had seen some of these at walmart while back for $4 but in different patterns and colors. You can go to a fabric store and buy this stuff by the yard at a pretty good price also. Depending on the pattern of course.

Especially if I can fashion it into a decent warm-weather quilt!

The only problem I've found with fleece quilts is there is 0 wind protection. I've used mine in the house or to add a layer to a PLTQ.

Yeah, I just plan to use this for nights when I know it will be 65+, which I get a lot of here in SoCal.
