As I recall Eddie Bauer made tons of down filled suit work wear for the Alaska pipeline workers when it was built back when. They may still be doing it. Puffy Carharts! ;-) All of that kind of stuff is specialized gear for you have it or you die situations.
    YMMV

The sleep suit is pointless. A mummy bag works like a mitten, it keeps the limbs closer to the body to help retain heat. That's why fingers tend to get cold no matter how insulated a glove is.

No top quilt or under quilt needed lol. Thought this looked ridiculous. Plus it's way overpriced.
Even with the down suit I'm still throwing the wool long underwaer on underneath.

You'd be surprised as to how lack of common sense and good marketing can part people with their hard earned money.

I use one of the Exped Dreamwalkers.

Works great, and has the added advantage that it's possible to open up all the way from the bottom so that I can use it as a cape when I'm being Superman at camp

+1 on the Dreamwalker. I use it as my main insulation when winter camping here in AZ. Four uses: peapod, top quilt, sleeping bag and parks/coat. One of the best and versatile pieces of gear I own. Weight wise it's comparable to most top/bottom quilt sets.

Yup, complete with draft collar and zipper. The bottom cinches with a draw string and is great for wrapping the hammock. I like to "choke " down the hammock a little with a cheap plastic biner to keep stress off the sleeping bag grommits. Just me taking precautions. Biner only weighs a few grams.
