I am new to,hammock camping, but fairly experiences temt camping. Just saying Hi to all you experts. Looking forward to meeting y'all.
Started hammock camping on a whim. Bought a hammock wit a gift card from a friend thinking it would be cool to have at a week lo ng Scout trip. After I bought it I googled how to hang it and saw Shug's videos. I was hooked ever since.
I camped in it several nights, but not near enough. Anyway howdy from the Chicago area.

Hello from another Chicago area hanger. There are not a lot of get-together’s in this area but there are a few. Watch the “Midwest section under “Hangouts, Campouts, and Trip Planning”. About 3 weeks ago a group of us got together down near Channahon that I made it to. It is fun to see how others set up and what gear they have.

Hello from central Illinois. I'm a newbie here. Just got my first hammock this week. Haven't been out yet.
I saw theChannahon hang, but couldn't make due to schedule. I am a Scoutmaster for our Troop, and we were camping that weekend.
