Anyone interested in an after Thanksgibing burn off the turkey hike on the App trail? I am thinking Devils Fork Gap to Hot Springs but anything between Damascus and N Ga is workable. Something in the 8-15 miles per day range.

What day(s) were you thinking? I may have some time off and wouldn't mind getting out. I may have to ground it (blasphemous I know) simply because I haven't invested yet in and underquilt and don't know if a simple pad will cut it (we'll see). Let me know! I live in the Asheville area so if there's interest I'd drive wherever.
Anything Fri to Sun one or two nights works for me. Allan Gap to Hot springs would be close to you. or Fontana area. would like to get in 8 to 12 miles per day just to get the legs ready for a 5 day hike in Dec.
