PU coating should withstand water
I have a problem with the term "waterproof"
I have stayed very Dry in Very Heavy Rains with a PU coated tarp
"HANGING OUT" has taken on a whole NEW MEANING
What do u plan on using the material for just wandering.
Well, I just finished my first DIY Hammock with Mosquito netting... check it out

and now I'm trying to work on a tarp. I'm planning on hitting the outdoors mid Dec. but I would like to test the tarp before
Can you blow through it? It probably is though.

I have not seen the fabric in person just online. Or would something like this be better
http://diygearsupply.com/product/70d-coated-ripstop/
This is better if you don't mind $5.50

It is good to support your cottage venders. Get it from DIYsupply and you know it will be perfect.

Polyurethane coating is the old standby for waterproofing. There is a heavy version and a lighter version and I cannot tell what this is. Either one will be waterproof. It is more waterproof and probably more durable than silnylon. It is also heavier and usually cheaper. I suspect what you are showing is first quality with an upcharge for the camo print.
If you are looking at it for a tarp it will be heavy compared to sil. It will be light compared to canvas. ;-)
FWIW If you are doing a tarp I would not go to seconds but I would use it for tarp doors or stuff sacks. You may get a perfect second or you may not. One drip in the right place can ruin a whole night! ;-)
YMMV
HYOH
Free advice worth what you paid for it. ;-)
Also note that they list it as almost 3/4 pounds per yard.....a tarp is going to weigh a bit from that first fabric.
