i got the kelty bag used from an ice climber, all he told me was that it was synthetic

To be honest here, trade offerings might be better left to the PM route until a trade has been made. Trade offerings back and forth with multiple members in public might be a bit much, when a deal is finalized then a "traded" could be posted by OP.

The only problem I see is that while trade chatter is going on through PMs a member can post and I'll Take It which will Nullify the the PM. If trade talks are going on then the item should be updated as a trade only item, until either the trade is completed or not completed.
