I'm a believer - UQ makes life better!

Slept out last night in the back woods - she got down to 28 by my thermometer. Just got a +/-40* down underquilt, and deployed that baby right 'neath my carcass. That, along with the Thermarest and my 30* bag, I'd guess could go ten degrees colder.

I'm a believer in down, let's just say that.
I'd rather be in a hammock. - Dolly Parton

Slept out in hammock last night too.
    Low 24, 13 mph winds.
I was trying out a DIY underquilt.
The under quit was is a cheap no mane brand synthetic mummy bag I
    Sacrificed and converted ,
It looks great, I can easily adjust the fitting, only problem is its a cheap bag, not even
Sure of temp range on it.
So with that and a really old synthetic -20 slumber jack bag, a few layers of clothing
    I hit the hammock.
    I wasn't really cold , but I wasn't really warm either.
Comfortable but a bit on the chilly side. Not bad really.
If the temps were any colder I don't think I would have been able to
Remain in the hammock with currant gear.
I had a good night, but want to hang and wake up warm.
Looking at down underquilts, trying to decide with company
Has the features I need. I enjoy winter hanging, so a
Full length 0 underquilt will be under me when I have
    The cash saved up.

    Good on ya!

The only difference between drug addiction and hammock addiction is with drugs the first one is free. Oh that and a clearer head with hammock stuff.
