Good job! Toasty at 30F with 5 oz CS? So maybe you can do 20F and be OK? Which coincidentally is exactly how it is rated, if everything is working right.

For reference: AHE Jarbidge is 6 oz, so no wonder folks are so warm in it.(EDIT: I meant, of course, uses 6 oz/sq/yd or 6 osy Climashield XP or Apex, 1 osy heavier than what OP used)

Great Job! I'm enjoying your net tarp bag, great workmanship. Oh, and go ahead and "torture" your baby brother. What doesn't kill 'em, makes him stronger. My baby sister lived through all my pranks and looked what she grew up to train

I think that's about how long it took me, also! And my first one was constructed the same way using the same materials!

Excellent job! Your lil' brother is s lucky kid!

This is something I'm very interested in making. Need just a little clarification please

I assume, the Climashield is just floating loose inside the quilt, and who is SLD, or another source of rip stop nylon?

    Thanks

the climasheild is a sheet, cut the same size as ONE side of shell mateiral, the other side of ripstop is cut 5'' bigger in all directions( hence ''diff'' cut) so that no mater how tight you pull it up against the hammock the climashield does not compress, reduceing loft and warmth. since one piece of shell fabric is cut larger you must use darts to take up the 5'' of slack fabric. SLD= simply light desingns, google them.
