First Trip with WL Stuff

The short version is all went well and I spent a comfortable rainy night in the LO under the tadpole. Winds were about 10mph with some gust but I stayed perfectly dry. The 11' tarp resulted in plenty of coverage for the LO. The pole mod makes a HUGE difference in perceived space. It was windy and wet so I had the tarp pitched fairly low but the poles attached to the pull-outs kept the sides of the tarp well away from the hammock and made what would have been a long night comfortable to kick back and enjoy a good book. Get the pole mod, it's well worth the added 2oz!

Not that I noticed. The poles are attached to pullout adapter straps that have some adjustability for tightening or loosening. I'm assured they are designed to be used this way and Marty with WL is just down the road from me, so I have no concerns about maintaining this system.
Edit: If there were any concerns with other tarps, maybe with different pullout spacing, I would think you could add a small loop of shock cord to guard against over tension.
