Finally Found the Lightest Guylines with Reflective Tracers

While reading over at Stick's Blog, I read about a new online store with 1.1mm dynema cord with a sheath and a reflective tracer. It also comes in a 1.5mm option. Can you guess which one I opted for?

I just bought 10m of it and will update my thoughts upon its arrival.

Awesome! I've been waiting for someone to make a reflective guyline in gram weenie sizes. Can't wait to hear what you think. Can you check to see if it'd be a good bear bag line?

I don't see why the 1.5mm wouldn't be, but like any thin cord, it hurts to pull up the weight of food.

That stuff looks great! I just got some "nite eyes" cord and replaced some of my guy lines. I think its 2.5mm… thinner than paracord but not super thin.

I might be reading it wrong, but it seems like those are the core sizes not the finished diameter. I'm interested to hear how this stuff works out.

+1 the nite ize reflective cord. I picked up 50' (about 15 meters) for $9.50 on amazon.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Per the site, the shipping weight was 2.5 oz. I find it to be nicely reflective when my light hits it. The reflective material is embedded making the cord feel rough versus normal paracord.
    Thanks,

I don't suppose it comes in a stealthier color? Seems a waste to have a coyote tarp and olive hammock outlined in yellow. Digging the thin reflective cord, though.

I certainly hope that the listed 1.1mm is the finished diameter. Even if not, it will still be the thinnest I've found.

With my cuben tarp, I already stick out a bit. I just have to walk off the trail a bit further than others. Since my guylines tend to be right at ground level, this will benefit me more so I don't trip over the lines (really so others don't trip over the lines) than give me pause that I'll be seen at a distance. The reflective accents on my DIY pack will give me away first.

I was interested (slightly- too thin for LineLocs, I think) till I saw the price...

    How much was shipping?
