    ENO Traveler hammock?

Can't seem to find much information about it, just some comparisons to the ENO pronest. Anybody got more info (specs etc) for the Traveler?

    Thanks!

Are you sure you don't mean the Warbonnet Traveler?

It is a very small hammock with basic s hooks. Mainly as it says, a traveler. I have one that is used for just hanging for an hour or two. Easy setup and take down. Not much room for sleeping. Did it one time and not very comfortable. Difficult to get the diagnoal lie. IF you are going to invest, get the Doublenest for backpacking. Plenty of room for sleeping, just make some alterations like whoppie slings, drop the beeners, and add a ridgeline.

Yep, tiny lil' thing with s-hooks...

I picked it up (it was really inexpensive, so I figured 'what the hey') and hung it for the first time today. It's pretty small, but seems like I can get a diagonal lay just fine. It just seems a little short... but not overly so?

It looks like I could probably mod it with whoopie slings, etc - I mean, it's basic but it seems to work. It's probably not as comfortable as a more full-sized hammock, but I'm new to this 'hanging' biz so I don't have enough experience to know the difference. I've lain in 'bigger' hammocks and it wasn't *that* much bigger, and the sides still rise up quite a bit on the Traveler. That being said, I've never lain in a DoubleNest - being designed for two must make it downright palacial

I'm going to head out on a kayak trip at the 10k islands in a few weeks - think this'll work out, or should I work out a more serious solution?

I'm sitting in one right now. I modded it with whoopie slings and I am using some dutchware in place of a marlin spike and toggle. I am 5' 11" and barely fit in it but it is good enough for napping in. It is very light too. I keep one in my day hike pack. Also, I'm using a 8x10 tarp set up in an asym style at it seems to work ok.

Perhaps you are thinking of the Byer Traveller Lite Hammock?

In any case, there is a comparison at:

It's definitely an ENO hammock. It's short - about 8 feet or so - and I fit in it (I'm just under 6 feet). I'm concerned about comfort though... I've taken 1-2 hour naps in it but I'm not sure it'll have full night sleepability.

I'm looking at the single nest and the BIAS weight weenie hammock now for a full length alternative. Any thoughts?
