Wow, great Pics SWW! It was good to meet you and yours and the many other folks I now get to put faces and personalities with names! There were so many folks, I know I didn't get to meet every body, but I'm glad I got to meet quite a few, including significant others/family/friends who don't even have HF user names, and some who ( like my wife and some other friends who met me there and stayed a few camp sites down from my RV site which was 2 campsites up stream) were 100% non-hangers, but it was great to meet them also. Now I have to some how keep all of the many names with the faces!
Got a big surprise talking with Mimi( non-hanger?) who was with Pedro( sorry, already forgetting, wife/girlfriend/ just plain friend?) while helping with the dishes ( clarification: that means I just poured a bit of rinse water and provided moral support, she did all of the actual work ). After talking with her about their long drive from Delaware ( I think it was) vs my long drive from Tupelo, MS, it turns out she used to live about 15 minutes west of me in Pontotoc, MS! Small world, eh?
Boy, it was unexpectedly warm and humid and buggy, wasn't it! I didn't really have any summer gear with me, and I normally don't do any thing out doors when it is warm. So after 300 threads here about how to be warm in a hammock, I wake up SWEATING about 2A.M. Sunday morning! Mother Nature, always messing with me!
I really enjoyed hiking a loop around and on top of Max Patch mountain, though I did not make it to that Lovers Leap.
Thanks Ed and Karen for putting all of this together! Thanks to all who were cooking, thanks DougtheElder for all of that coffee, and the sympathy you expressed for the fact that I am not yet fully retired like I want to be!
( note to self: in future, bring LONGER hot dog sticks to avoid cooking face along with hot dogs! )

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
Doing "the roach" while trapped on your back in a bugnet, arms and legs flailing at the empty hammock overhead, and merely failing to understand the finer points of snakeskins are two small errors representing progress upward along the learning curve of successful hammock hanging. A few more Kodak moments and you can consider yourself a veteran. My biggest regret is not having my "Kodak" ready for the moment.

BillyBob, It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife. I felt I was in the company of a true champion- a posting champion among other things. And you mistake my sympathy for your not being fully retired for my possible envy for you being partially retired. I think retirement would be good, but life is so good the way it is, I'd be afraid to make a change.
