Ewker, that picture is the view I did not see until late Sat afternoon. Those twisted chimneys above the river are an amazing sight!

While the others were climbing that hill, you and I were part of the dozen or so who hiked the AT into Hot Springs from Gorenflo (local spelling) Gap. The view of the valley and town of Hot Springs, as you make the long descent to the river, is like a fairy tale.

It was nice meeting you and the others. It is always good to put faces with screen names.

It was kind of funny as I introduced myself. Most everyone said oh you're the ground dweller where is your tent

The hike was great and I enjoyed it. Thanks to the ones who drove us up there and to Hooch for getting it together. If you click on my picture it takes you to my webshots album of the hike. I have a picture when you first see Hot Springs through the trees.

Thanks to Ed and Karen for another great weekend.

Hooch did his duty this weekend: he organized the hike and the transportation; he brought Dancer into the group- she's a lot of fun; and he brought the LIVERMUSH- gotta be the best livermush I've had in years- O.K., the only livermush I've had in years- but it was good! Thanks, Hooch.

Thanks Doug, I've been waiting on a "Mush" report. I even tried to find some 'Hunters" but couldn't. Ended up with my old stand-by "Neeses".I didn't get to make the hang but I did enjoy some "Mush" for breakfast.

Ed, I think that cap may be mine. If it is, I'll just get it from you at Trail Days. Will PM you with a description of it.

My pleasure, Doug. As always, it was great seeing you.

If you want Hunter's, you got to go further west to get it. I get mine in Hickory or Morganton when I'm in town. Maybe Ed should start shipping Hunter's since he lives close by.

    liver mush?

I was there and I missed the liver mush. It must not have lasted long.
Maybe I will have to bring some extra next time.

You guys can have all the liver mush you want.

I'll stick with easily identifiable foods like bacon and sausage. Having discovered what was in hog head cheese, etc after being fed it as a kid I've had my fill.
