    Welcome to the sanity. You might check out underquilts.com Dave sells underquilt shells that you could fill with down harvested from your bag. It would require minimal sewing to close off the open end. You could probably find someone to inject some thread for you (sew it) for cheap or free.

    Will definitely think about that Sprott - thanks for the idea. I suppose sewing a donut shape piece of fabric onto the foot box inside and then cutting the sleeping bag out of the middle might work. hmmmmm. Lot's to think about.
