Dont know what that thing in front of the spider in the pic is. Just looked at pic and saw it, then looked at knife. Its not there, must have been a piece of pocket lint or a wierd flash or something. Can try another pic or two if youd like.
Does the blade have any nicks in it at all? hard to tell in the picture, they only use mine has see was to stab through stacked cardboard to show someone the benefit of the tanto blade other than that it sits in my safe.
Yes it says made in the USA on the blade.

No, no nicks, scratches or marks of any kind anywhere but the clip. It does have fingerprints on the blade, I'll clean it and send new pics if ya like. It is VERY sharp too.
I'm giving it a real close look right now. I'd feel comfortable saying that other than the clip, and some pocket lint, it looks like its just out of the box. Its always in a pocket by itself, or at most with my leather wallet, and the blade has had no rough use. Lockup is real tight, as new also.
Value wise is see about a $40 difference in the blades (I am NOT asking for cash) but do you have anything you can throw in to even it up?

Well, I have a spool of the good braided mason line in fl yellow. Could do a ridgeline, or tarp tie outs. Have leftover bits of camo ripstop and no see um netting I could whip something up. OOHH, your a knife guy, I have a knapped obsidian knife set in a deer antler tine handle. Could prob come up with other stuff as well.
I'm gonna have to pass for now, was really hoping for a tarp, Sorry
