LuminAID solar lantern and hammock pillow

LuminAID solar inflatable lanterns-I can't say enough about these nice solar lanterns. They are small and light and don't require batteries. They can run up to 16 hours and have a high and low setting. They let of a nice defused light about 10 foot around, enough for sitting around camp and no more blinding your fellow hammockers with your head lamp. Lastly when partially deflated they can be used as a hammock pillow. They only weigh 70 grams and they are waterproof and even float. I haven't seen anything else like them. They also do some good work in parts of the world that need it.

That is really cool. Once I get my gear and figure out what bling I'm going to need, I'm going to order one of these.

Those are a sweet little bit of kit. I'm gonna have to get one of those.

I've got one and use it as my primary in-hammock lighting. It produces enough light to read by and see things around me on the ground. I cut the pillow thing off to reduce bulk and weight.

    Worth every penny.

I got one of these from my secret space weasel (santa) last year and I absolutely love it. It is great around camp with groups and makes my hammock conspicuous on those dark nights when I am set up way away from the campfire. Great piece of kit.

Anyone know how this compares the the MpowerD Luci?

This one has a dual purpose as it can act like a pillow, but the Luci has a more traditional lantern shape. Either of them look cool.

    Actually, I found my answer:

    Comparison Between the Two

Looks like the Luminaid is lighter, but doesn't put out as many lumens.

I may just have to get one of each, so I can compare!

Does the Solar panel and electronics of it stick out far from the bag? seems like it could be a painful pillow.
