That looks good, Squidbilly. I like it! We need to go test out some gear pretty soon...
If you guys only knew... His basement looks like a vintage sweat shop.

Soon I'll lose these rags and run, Returning to the wild where I'm from. -Chris Whitley
Haven't made a bag for it yet, but I put it in my Hammockgear bag and weighed it--18.2oz. Although I'm sick as a dog(cold/fever/chills) I slept outside last night. It got down to 20*, and it kept me warm.
Thank you
Thanks, I was hanging in the "sweatshop"this evening with it on my hammock because I had the chills--I slept a few hours and woke up sweating.
Very nice work on the quilt SB. So is it your interest in the machines that make your sew or is the the sewing that cause you to like the machine????
So how is the new quilt working out?
I thought the same about the tables along the wall
First off, very nice work on the quilt! Thanks for sharing the photos.
Is that ABU camo calendered? I don't know if I've ever seen down-proof ABU camo material before.
Nice quilt! How did you do the edge seams? I'm guessing that's grosgrain you're using for the channels. It's crossed my mind to just run a stitch through the two layers and flame seal the edges to prevent fraying. Then I'd use the fabric I trimmed off as binding to form the channel. I'm not 100% sure it would work, but sounds like a good theory at the moment.
I also have a BF Mira, it's electrified though. I need to clean it up a little and get it to form a stitch so I can give it to my sister for Christmas. Although if I like it too much I might have to give her one of my other machines.
That's an awesome looking quilt. Did you work off of a specific pattern I can look up? I've been thinking about attempting a down UQ.

Thanks Shroud. No, I just sort of copied my Hammock Gear quilt.
Thank you! No, it is not calendared. It leaks a bit. I just had to try it though.
Thanks Mouskowitz. The channel is grosgrain. I just roll hemmed the top and bottom pieces together and added the channel.
I still have the Mira, but now I use a Lelia in that same treadle.
