    ? for incubator owners

I have seriously been considering (read procrastinating) on ordering a phincubator, and see that Adam now offers the incubator in a short that is close enough to the length i wanted, good to go, or am i? Came across this in another thread on incubator length

You can never allow your butt to ride up on the leg shelf or you will have a big air gap at you back.
have many of you found this to be the case?

Now another question is, what is the split between the 'leg shelf' and the 'rest' of the quilt, 50/50 60/40 70/30?
I'm about 6'1" with a 21-23" torso and a 30" inseam. Am I going to have problems getting a proper fit?

I would recommend emailing Adam about this directly. His customer service is awesome and I am sure he will help you get the perfect fit.

    That said, I'm only 5' 6" with a 30" inseam, and I use a standard length Incubator.
With a radical sense of hope, I strive for the seemingly impossible.

6'1" and the standard Incubator works great for me.

I'm 6' even and haven't had a problem. He has the secondary suspension that keeps the quilt from riding up as you describe in the quote. At least it does for me.

6ft here own a phincubator and an incubator and both fit me and my WBBB perfectly.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Hi Packeagle, The quilt doesn't ride up or move.
What I was discribing is when you set the quilt and thru the night from tossing or turning you end up lower in the hammock.
Kind of a settling to the middle so to speak. Then you find your butt is up on the leg shelf.
The quilt suspension has nothing to do with the problem I experienced.

Ahh. I can see how that could happen. I haven't experienced this (yet), but I do a lot of squirming and adjusting right before bed. That may get the kinks worked out for me before I get to sleep.

I found the leg shelf eliminates cold spots for me, vs traditional "2D" designs. I experienced a lower rump/upper leg air gap with "2D" quilts but the shelf fills in that area nicely.

Yah it's more operator error onmy part than the quilts fault.
As a side / semi stomach sleeper I just have better luck with the 2D quilts.
