I used the RR with my 12' Toxaway and never had issues with the bars touching the tarp. But then, my tarp line is always tied above my hammock line on the tree. If you want to pull the tarp down, I think the only thing that would help with that is a outside pole mod. The only reason you'd want to do that is for greater warmth - not coverage from elements because that thing is huge and you're never going to have an issue with getting wet, no matter how high you hang it.
"I wonder if anyone else has an ear so tuned and sharpened as I have, to detect the music, not of the spheres, but of earth, subtleties of major and minor chord that the wind strikes upon the tree branches. Have you ever heard the earth breathe... ?"

I dont post pics or videos but my son made a video of what I did to my hiking pole spreader bars after following one of the griz videos.
The way of using the prussic is at the end of part 3.
It works well for me anyway.
    Good luck.

Lol seeing myself on this video is what inspired, along with my aching back,a 52 lb weight loss.

Adam made a 13ft ridgeline cf camo for me. Side tieouts spaced for the rr bars too.
    No more rr suspension problems
