    Ridgerunner with a 12' Tarp

I have a superfly right now but looking to upgrade to a Cuban w/ 12' ridgeline. Has anyone else used this setup and found is beneficial to have the longer ridgeline w/ the RR. I'm hoping it will allow the doors to close better.

    Ridgerunner with a 12' Tarp

I just got the standard CF tarp with a 12' ridgeline, doors and pullouts spaced at 78" for the poles on the RR. it covers it very well. I am hanging in the rr tonight and have the superfly on it and it is tight to have the triangular suspension fit under it. Forget about closing the doors all the way. Which you can do much better with the 12' RL.

I have been using the superfly for a while with my RR. found if I take out the small middle piece in the head bar it fits a bit better. Also I can get one side to close all the way if I position one end of my tarp close to the tree.

    Question

I use the rr with a 12 foot hg cft.
To get my doors closed up I tie a prussic(spelling?) Loop around the foot end suspension.if the doors need shut I take the spreader bar out of the suspension.now slide the prussic toward the hammock and the triangle will be diminished to the size you need.
This also brings your u q up along the sides creating more warmth.
Use 3 wraps on the prussic so it will hold well.
    Good luck

Sounds interesting. Would like to see a pic of this if you get the chance.
