Thank you for this resource. I was about to buy a laminated reference card of knots but I think I can use this and maybe shrink it down and bring it to the field . For some reason I have always been intimidated by knots. Irrational I suppose..

The true beauty of the Carrick Bend is that, if the bitter/working ends are seized, even lightly, to the standing parts, the bend will not collapse and can be easily broken.

I was never a boy scout and never learned any knots as a kid, didn't do much camping either.
Now I enjoy camping and really want to commit several useful knots to memory so I can tie them whenever needed without having to think much about it.
I've downloaded this booklet and it will be very useful - thanks very much!
