My Christmas gift this year is gonna be an under quilt (full length) and I'm looking to take advantage of the UGQ sale.
My understanding is that the temp ratings (at least for sleeping bags) is a survival rating. Not a comfort rating. I want a hammock set up that will be comfy down to 15* (I have no plans on backpacking below 15). I'm ok supplementing insulation in the form of clothes. But, I don't wanna have to carry a pad in addition to the UQ.
I would consider my self an average sleeper (not cold nor hot). Would the 20* ZEPPELIN be comfortable if the temps dropped to 15? Or, should I go with the 0?
If I'm reading the specs right it's only about 6 oz diff in 0 & 20. That's worth the weight if it's the difference in being comfy and chilled.
I have a DIY JCP quilt for warmer temps.
Thanks!
