Post trip thread started. I'll post when I've had a chance to shower.
About to go shower but wanted to give a shout out to the boys that made the trip and camped out in 20 degree weather along with hauling in the fire wood on that pulk. Strong effort, impressive.
Oh, and I am going to make some smacos next campfire for the kids, cool idea.
More + pics later.
Have sherpas, will travel...

had a great time guys, can't wait for the next hang. thanks silentorpheus and silvrsurfr for all the work put in organizing the event.
Good food + good people =great time. Looking forward to the next one.
Okay, now that I'm clean, partially fed, and settled down, here we go:
Thanks so much to everyone that made it out, and braved the cold to come hang out with us crazy people on a holiday weekend!
As always, it was great to see familiar faces, like NJredneck and his boys, JerzyBears, SilvrSurf, and Matthiastrek, all of whom came out last year, and Ratdog, Black Foot and Tinkr, who I've met before but not hung with often. Even Iafte and his son decided to drop by Saturday morning, to say hi and chat for a while - great to see them out in the pines.
The new faces were great as well, with jtdad17 and his friend, Greensoldier (for the first night), and vagabound (I guess next year I have to make sure matthiastrek has his keys before we leave the parking lot, and make sure you have a TQ ).
Between filet, shrimp, and scallops Friday night, Brats and Sm'acos Saturday, and all the good coffee and other beverages, I certainly ate well - probably better than I would have, had I stayed home.
The food was great, the weather was excellent, and the company was even better.
Last year when we did this hang, that was my first backpacking trip in at least 15 years, probably more. I can't think of a better or more fitting way to mark 1 year of getting out to hike and hang, than with many of the folk who were there the first time around, and new friends as well.
Again, thanks for coming, all, and I look forward to many more years and many more trips in the woods with you all.
I'll have to start planning for the "3rd Annual NJ Thanksgiving Weekend Hang", I guess.
Cheers!
Sorry I had to miss such a good time. Sounds like it was blast.

Oh, and here's the only picture I took this weekend. My cell phone battery was in danger of dying by Saturday morning, so I didn't really use it at all.
So, do bears snore in the woods???
