    Why I love my Singlenest

I love my Singlenest. I have a big family and we have several different types of hammocks. HH's, Byer's, Walmart cheapo's, big backyard rope bridgers, and an ENO Singlenest.
The Singlenest is trim, but that's what I was looking for. I am 5'7" and 175lbs so it fits perfectly. Your field of view is spectacular. That has been a problem with other hangs....the extra nylon blocking my view. I camped out west in the Grand Tetons and Yosemite and I was forever fighting the extra fabric. I never have that problem with my ENO. I chose it for that very reason. Quick & easy to set up. I don't even use the new style biners. I just thread my 1" tubular webbing DIY slap strap through the biner hole and tie a self releasing knot and BLAMO I'm hanging.

I bought a dbl nest and like you didn't like the wall of fabric and returned it for the single. I like it much better. My favorite is still the BIAS WWM in a 56" width.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I'm 6'4" tall and 230lbs. My shoulders are really wide. So I went for the DoubleNest for that reason. Should be arriving in a few days. Will post my opinion after.

I may get a singlenest as well in addition to the double I just ordered. It seems the single would be ideal for beach like environments where you really want to be exposed to the sun & elements and just hang(pun intended). While the double with its extra fabric creating a wall against the elements for when you want the protection.

I've used a doublenest for a few years - nice to have the extra width.

I like my Singlenest. It's the first and only hammock I bought so far. On a diagonal lay with my Speer pad extender, sometimes the outboard bottom corner of my CCF pad pops out over the fabric and leads to slipping of the pad to the side. I've trimmed the bottom corners of the pad to alleviate that a bit. With my poncho liner underquilt, it's practically perfect. I'm on the edge of getting a good 3/4 underquilt for colder temps.
