I've used the Accurite for about three or four years now on every hike or camping trip. I got it at Walmart for about $7.00.

    Take care,

Nope, don't use one. There are only five temps when out hanging. Too dang cold, cold, perfect, hot and too dang hot. Have survived some of the first, a few of the of the second, quite a few of the third and stay away from the last two.

I've used the coghlans unit for months. It's taken a beating and is still going strong. In addition to recording 24 high/low it also functions as a clock w/alarm, and compass.

Now that reminds me, I need to figure out how to turn off that alarm! I've heard it beeping in the closet every day for weeks.

I use the Accurite.. it's only 6 bucks or so and has worked great. I keep it on my pack until I get the hammock set up and then it goes on the ridgeline most of the time..
    YMMV

Another Accurite user from Walmart. Cheap. Works so far. Since I don't get use it as much as I'd like I take the battery out when not in use.

This is a good question and I have often thought about getting one to take with me. Lot of good advise on this thread.

I spent too much, but it has been a good unit.
