    Thanks Hoot!

Hoot sold a bunch of gear and I was lucky enough to pick up a large compression sack that I received today in the mail. It's perfect! Fantastic price on it. And now I am in good stead with the bosses.

A little back story - both my bosses, the one at work and the one I married, seem to think the well traveled, farm every mile or so, mostly 4 lane, 35 miles I travel to and from work somehow become a desolate, isolated back road when the first snowflake falls and despite driving in NW Iowa for well over 30 years, I am going in the ditch and be stranded for days and they will eventually find my popsicle body come spring. So the boss (at work) tosses me this old issue, half down/half polyfill ECWS sleeping bag that weighs about 10 lbs and you can imagine how big it is rolled up. "Put that in your truck so you don't die..."

Now with this stuff sack, I can get this behemoth of a bag squished down to a more manageable size. It even fits under my winter pack with old ice fishing suit, shelter material, fire stuff, FAK, and even some dehydrated soup and beverages along with appropriate containers and alcohol stoves to heat it with. The work boss is happy, the home boss is happy, and that makes ME happy!

    Thanks again!

    Awww people care! :-)

I have a Coleman sleeping bag like that...not sure where it is these days, but I always used it for festivals and such. Nice to have a just in case bag.

I used to live in rural, down east Maine. Definitely treacherous roads, coupled with some snow and an accident could really leave you screwed. No cell phone device, and many areas, no one around. (ahhh, but that was the beauty of the place)

Good to be prepared than suffering and sorry :-)

It's a shame the Ohm wasn't my size, I had my on it. It's a good looking pack.
