I'll bring what I don't use with me, so if anyone needs a pad or a cozy, it will be there. $5 for a piece 30" x 4' will more than cover my costs. Will ship FREE (to Grayson Highlands State Park on 1/17/2014 only). Willing to haggle, but I really like multiples of $5. Alternatively, will trade 2 pieces for one raffle ticket (before the raffle.)
Hmmm....how about enough to wrap around my chair as I sit in front of the fire. I may get evenly "done" that way....

    Mt. Rogers Hang Ride Share?

Is there anyone passing through Morgantown, WV (I-79 @ I-68) on their way to the Mt. Rogers hang that wants to ride share? I would rather share the ride than drive alone. If you're interested PM me.

Yea I know, so was I but if you really wanted to spend a day in the life of a baked potato we could arrange it. Might be fun, fun to watch too at least.

WOW, we have 21 signed up to come, 22 actually as there is a 4 legged camper attending.
I know it's been said before; you don't have to be signed up to attend, but it would be helpful to those of us dong the planning & to the Log Cabin restaurant to have a rough idea who is coming. Thank you!!

    Remember:
    Bring extra clothing, including boots.
A folding chair WITH (non-compressible) INSULATION makes for a more comfortable time around the camp fire.
    Drink a LOT of water.
EAT! The best way to stay warm is to stoke the furnace!
    Stay cool to stay warm.
    And, most importantly: HAVE FUN!!!
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

Whoa, a little early this year.
Glad I checked in. Sorry I didn't make it last year. I went to a hang in GA a few weeks prior followed by a short section hike, so I had already fed my backpacking monkey.

    I'll try to make it.
    It's always fun.
