    will this work (with some sewing?)

    says the dimensions are 12x8 and weighs 20oz. cost: $6

    my buddy really needs a dirt cheap tarp (he's joining me on PA section hike, but a last minute add on) for his hammock (skeeter beater). i wonder if we can get someone to sew some pull tabs onto that will it work for him? again, that costs $6

    Looks like standard poly tarp. If you want that route you can get that at a hardware store. If you't careful and do it right it may work.

    Look into the blue tarps. Cut to size it would be heavier, but would hold up better.
    Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
