It's my understanding that one of the previous moderators was fulfilling the store orders and had not until recently relinquished store items. In addition the old store software was very basic and did not have the ability to accurately calculate shipping costs. I don't know that there is an exact date that the store will be back online but the goal is around the new year with new software and new look.

When they open it back up they better be well stocked because I have a feeling they'll have plenty of orders to fill..

I received the old store inventory a month ago.
I have been going through it and organizing it.
I have also reordered some items to replenish the ones that we were low on.
I have also been working on adding new items to the store.
I have also been working on getting more hats embroided, hiking style hats.
I have been adding more Hammock Forums memorabilia, shirts, mouse pads.
I have also been working on new store software to hopefully make things easier.
My hopes are to have the store up and running by the first of the year.
I am hoping to post a link to the store shortly so that everyone can see what we will have shortly.

Please take this question as it is intended - an honest query, but:
Did people actually buy stuff from the HF store?
While I technically knew it was always there, I usually forgot on a day to day basis that it existed. And I really don't remember all that many threads or posts in the past discussing it or the items in it, except for the occasional yearly update from the mods when an item was discontinued or something.
I think having one is a great idea - and adding some of the additional items that are planned is awesome. And to be fair, I did see a HF hat at a recent hang, and think to myself "I should grab one of those" … only to remember that I couldn't until the store was back onlineHehe.
But what with the number of posts in recent past asking when it was coming back, I was surprised to see so many people actually noticed its absenceGuess some things just go on in the background, and only come to the surface when there's a hiccup. Who'd'a thunk.
