    Lightbulb Boot hammock

I was bored today and playing with some old gear when I came across a tent attic, its super light and I thought it would be a good way to keep my boots off the ground during the night, I have found a bug or two in the morning.
Ok to be clear this is not something I really need, I just thought it would be cool, most of the time I just tuck my socks in my boots and every thing is fine.
I have have wet socks in the next day though and figured I should come up with something and today I did.

This is just a proof of concept , I ran one line through the side guy out to prevent it from swinging out of reach, this may not be needed but I didn't try it without yet.
I will be getting rid of the little hooks and using cords that do not have figure 9s on them, I am still thinking about quick attachment but That will come to me in due time.

    Tell me what you think?

I know I can't be the only one that has done this, I know there are things out there like it, the ENO gear sling for example.

That will work, i have seen a gear loft that was just a small kid size hammock strung under a hammock before that was close to your set up and i liked it as well, give it its own suspention and store all your gear there and never worry about wheather again.
    Nice setup

    Thats great!

I have an ENO Underbelly Gear Sling that I use in a similar fashion on my HH Ultralite. It is big enough that I can throw my pack into it to keep it off the ground if the weather is bad.

    Re: Boot hammock

That is a great setup. I was thinking about a better way to keep my boots and gear dry. I have an old tent with a gear loft pretty close to the same shape. Glad I hadn't thown it away now!!

That is a pretty neat idea. I might need to find some of that mesh material and make myself a gear hammock now!
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

I made a 1/4 size gear hammock to keep boots and clothes inside the bugnet with me. same layout under the main hammock.

Pretty slick idea, I see you do not have a ridge line with an organizer on your hammock so you can keep other stuff like head lamp and what not in it as well
