Thanks for all the remarks. It's blue but I think my camera lighting was off too. I know some of our scouts are ready to hang. My next goal is to set up a Saturday and let them sew a hammock. I have some Moms in our troop who love to sew as much as I do.

How's the weight on your setup?

As someone who is just about to embark on a few projects to complete my kit, is there anything you wish you had known starting the projects?

Hammock, suspensions, tree huggers, tarp with cords, stakes, clips and stuff sacks come in at 4 lbs. our troop tent is 10 lbs. that's what I based it on for the scouts understand. Not sure I would do anything different. Truth be said stay on the forum and you will learn all kinds of things. I'm very happy with the set up. Scott at DIY Gear Supply has been great to work with.

    Nice Job!

Great setup! Did you follow the pattern for the winter tarp on Scott's website? I really like how you hung the walls of the tarp vertical down from the side tie-outs.

I used the design from his site winter tarp and love it but never thought to pitch it like you did.

    Looks very nice!

May I ask: What blue color blue is your blue tarp and blue hammock?
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Yes every thing came from his site. Electric blue is the color. I think some of overwhelming blue color came from the white balance on my camera and snow reelection. Scott shared with me I should have run my tarp ridge line under the tarp. It would have helped with the snow and freezing rain. Overall I have no complaints.
