Something lighter than an ENO

Hey guys!
I am looking for a gathered end or sewn through channel type of hammock that is lighter than the ENO/hammock bliss/grand trunk hammocks. I have come to realize that I don't much like the asymmetrical style of hammocks quite as much as I like the traditional type. I haven't seen a non asymmetrical hammock made from ripstop. Anybody know where I can get such a thing?

I'm sure a tablecloth hammock is lighter than an ENO. Anyone know for sure. I have a tablecloth blank that I'm getting ready to sew end channels into. I can weigh my Doublenest and the tablecloth hammock once I'm finished.

Have you replaced the rope in the end channels and ditched the extremely heavy steel clips? (Newer versions come with lighter Aluminium carabiners)

If you have do this then the ENO doublenest isn't outrageously heavy - around 16oz for a large hammock with a 400lb rating iirc. You'd struggle to lose half of that weight even whilst giving up some size and load rating. I bet you could other ways to lose 8oz that might be a better option.

If you like the Eno, the easiest method to lighten as much as you can get it is going to Whoopies/Toggles for suspension and shorter tree straps. That will cut about as many ounces off as you could going most any other hammock with the same load rating.
If you want a longer hammock or different features (like Double Layers, attached bug nets, etc.) take a look at the cottage vendors listed here.
I went with the Wilderness Logics Lit Owl for it's longer 11' lay and double layers at 20oz complete with suspension. But, I'll likely go to a shorter single layer DIY for summer packing trips.

For light weight packing, it's hard to beat the BIAS weight weenie. Had them make one for me a couple of years ago in a 62" width. Weighs in at about 7 oz. with the whoopies.

+1 on the BIAS. The WWM is a light weight and super comfortable hammock in a variety of widths.

Thats what I did on my single nest. I never even used the stock suspension. I replaced it with whoopies and just used my short hennessy straps. If you want to save a few more grams and bulk, you can even replace the whoopies with a UCR system and cut out about 6 feet or so of rope. I'm just learning about that though. I removed the extra strap and clip from the ENO bag too, I really didn't see a need for it.
