    OK the Zeppelin 20 is in the running now too. Thanks for making my decision that much harder Paul
    My pleasure for making your decision even harder...

    My decision is becoming easier. Getting info about UGQ has been painless. Getting info from Hammock Gear, not so much. I sent them an email on Monday and when I did not hear back I sent another yesterday (Thursday). Neither email has been responded to. I called and just got voicemail. Customer service is very important to my decision on which to go with and UGQ has made me feel very comfortable so far. The only reason I am even still considering HG is that they have a gift certificate option and I have a birthday coming up. I know a number of people who will be looking to get me a gift and if I can have then just get a gift cert each that would make life very easy.

    I do have one other question about the Zeppelin. Can you slide the quilt up and down on the suspension like you can with HG?

    I know what you mean; up and down no (no UQ does that), back and forth, head to toe, north south, end to end yes.

    Me personally I looked at Jacks, Arrowhead Equip, and UG Quilts. I didn't like that Jacks only came in green, that Arrow seemed to be Synthetic, I called Paul, had a great conversation and new that his product was for me. I used the UQ that I ordered for thanksgiving and like it so much that I found the money to recently order the Topquilt as well for the New Years. I'm in the IT field and I liked the under ground quilts website the best of all the UQ sites. Especially the ORDER STATUS page. It's so interesting to see the different areas of the country and world for that matter that are buying UG hammock quilts.

    I don't think you can go wrong with any of the brands you are looking at. I personally own quilts from both HG and UGQ. I am extremely pleased with both of them. My HG has been field tested MUCH more than UGQ and I can definitely say it's proved true. Haven't had much use with the UGQ's cuz their new, but love all the options of colors and fabrics that UGQ offers and their quality of build is immaculate. Can definitely attest to the quality of customer service that both offer (leaning slightly to UGQ right now cuz they totally came through with me this holiday.) You just have to narrow down the specific details that are important to you and go with supplier that fits those. You will be happy with your purchase no matter which you choose.

    And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
    When I look down from lofty mountain gardeur,
    And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze...

    My first quilt was a Mt. Wash 3 brand new 4 years ago with no issues thus far. Also I have a sierra sni that will kept me warm into the single digits.

    I thru hiked the AT NOBO in 2012, at the beginning I used the sierra and a pad with Duffys homemade SPE, then switched in Harpers Ferry to a 50 deg burrow and sent the SPE back home.
    I'm glad I kept my BBO because in the Whites I had a few mid 30 deg nights, the BBO, pad and Burrow kept me safe.
    Both companies will have your back I assure you.
