    Try 'toggle'.

    Or 'DIY toggle' in quotes.

Some folks use aluminum arrow pieces, some folks get those little carbon toggles from some of the vendors, and some say they just grab a couple of twigs. I did a whoopie suspension and tried a few things for toggles, and the golf shaft pieces seem fine and are strong and just about weightless (although I did read a thread about somebody whose carbon toggles were crushed - but don't know all the details).

Personally, I took an old and broken driver golf shaft and cut a couple of toggles out of it. It seems to work great, but I'm still not convinced I like it any better than cinches or rings. I had a couple of the slider cinches - kind of heavy - and switched to the whoopie/toggle arrangement. Just ordered a set of triangle cinch buckles and am gonna try them next.

For me it's a question of how do I minimize weight and be reliable without causing myself too much work. ymmv

    Hope this helps.

I've got some toggles made from, cpvc, I think it was 3/8". For a buck or two you can get a 5' chunk of toggle stock from Lowes/Homedepot. They're a little ghetto fabulous but they work fine. I'm not a fan of the tiny arrow shaft size toggles, I prefer something with a little more bulk. You can see the cpvc toggle in this video ↓↓↓

    Good luck,

PVC pipe, carbon/alluminum arrow shafts, metal straw from 7-eleven, wittled down stick, anything really. Carbon arrow shafts are the lightest, i use alluminum now because its easier to find bright colors and they dont blow away in the wind. (Lost several carbon toggles due to them blowing away and being too dark for me to find)

Just take a hacksaw to anything cyllindrical. Create a new trend! Then post and brag about it!

    PVC & Plastic Hangers

I have used 1/2" PVC and plastic hangers .... the hangers come in several diameters and you can also find colored ones that may be a little more stealthy than white
