I am thinking about making an underquilt and I was wondering;
Where do you all get down?
(Me wants it kinda cheap!)

I understand the economy problems and issues with cost of down going up, but I was shocked when I saw the new price on the Wilderness Logics down! It is still a pretty good price but I wasn't ready for that. I'll have to hold off a little longer on some projects until I can afford the increase.
My luxe pillows and comforters on eBay. I ended up with ~140 oz this past spring for less than $2.50/oz shipped. It's theoretically 800 fill. From my experience I'd say 750+.
do any of you have experience with these guys? http://www.downlinens.com/products/premium-washed-down the prices seem pretty reasonable.
I think the AFLAC duck is helping to set the prices!
So why is white down more expensive? Its not like white ducks are warmer than grey ducks...
Waterfowl?
Hmmm... I'm not sure about the difference between white and grey either. Well besides how they look different. If it saves me some money, I'm not too picky about the color. I guess if you have some awesome light material like the Argon from Dutch, it might show through and make it look different if it is grey instead of white.
The other thing I noticed about the dowlinens.com is that the grey 750 fill actually costs two dollars more than the grey 800 fill... That's interesting...
